Home IQ’s founder, Bruce Brockway, has been involved in the construction industry from the time he was a young boy. Starting at the early age of 9, Bruce began learning the building trades while working alongside his father, Terry. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Northern Iowa followed by 25 years of building with an emphasis in mechanical and roofing systems installation. Training and education have remained an important aspect in Bruce’s career. He currently carries his Master’s Plumbing License and Master’s mechanical license in the state of Iowa.

Bruce’s extensive career has allowed him to play an integral role in building everything from homes to hospitals to high rises. He has  successfully managed hundreds of projects from ground breaking to completion and beyond. He understands building codes and most importantly, your safety.

Beyond his love and devotion to the building trades, Bruce is a loving husband and father to his wife and children. When he’s not climbing on roofs and crawling through attics, Bruce enjoys cycling, working outdoors, and spending quality time with his family.
